The majority of our products are handmade in England where the tradition of fine gardening has been practiced for centuries, and each of these garden products has been tested in out gardens.

Our family business, the St. George Company Limited, was founded in 1982 on our farm in St. George, Ontario. We were importing innovative tools and equipment from overseas for use on the farm. Soon people began to ask for some to these products and shortly thereafter our business was born. A few years ago, we started importing some garden items from England for use in our garden, which has now grown into the “English Country Garden Collection”.

Tom Chambers ironwork baskets are, without question, the finest hand welded wrought iron baskets in the world. They now include a hand-forged line of window boxes, hayracks and hanging baskets. In addition , Tom Chambers has an outstanding line of birdhouses and feeders, a number of designs with real slate roofs.

Secret Soaker sub-irrigation systems have proven quite successful and are available for most Tom Chambers baskets and New World Planters, as well as any planters you may already have.

Stephen Markham lead planters are rarely seen in Canada, but can be seen in such places as Hampton Court and the Buckingham Palace.

Stockton-Heath oak handled garden tools are made from the original patented design from 1894, yet feature stainless steel heads. The Royal Sussex garden trugs are also from a blueprint from the 1800’s.

Our beautifully-made reproduction brass door knockers, letter slots and centre pull knobs made in England are based on designs from the 19th Century and seen on front doors such as that of the British Prime Minister.

We invite you to look through our collection and discover something that will bring the english country to your garden.

Wishing you a peaceful and prosperous year in 2008,

Peter Quail.
